Visa For Myanmar: E-Visa or Consulate & How to Apply

Hey everybody, so this video is all about how to get your e-visa for Myanmar. So for most tourists there are two different types of visas you can get. You can either get a tourist visa through a consulate or an embassy Or you can get an e-visa. Now I’ve done both, and I have to tell you the e-visa is way easier. If you have the option at all get the e-visa there are so many less documents that you need. So when I got my regular tourist visa through the embassy I had to show them proof of my flight in and out of the country. I had to show them a copy of where I was going to be staying. I had to book everything in advance show them all that documentation in advance Whereas with an e-visa I didn’t have to do any of that with an e-visa all I did was show them I told them the name of a hotel that I was going to stay at, and you know what I changed my mind even before I got there. I stayed somewhere else no one even cared. Also a thing to note I initially thought that an e-visa was only good if you were flying into the country. That is not true There are also land borders that land places where you can cross the border Also with an e-visa, I know that for a fact. I did it just three days ago Now okay, so you can definitely do this as well And I’m posting a video about how to cross the border by land so if that video is finished by the time I post this That will be in the link in the description so you can totally check that out and see what that process is like So whether you’re flying in crossing the border by land You can totally do an e-visa and it’s such a simple process All you need in advance is you need to have your passport You know handy unless you’ve memorized all the information on it, but just have your passport handy it needs to be valid for at least another six months and You need a copy of your face like a headshot, and it just needs to be against a white backdrop So not like here. You know like where I am now just against something white photo up your head of your face and The name of the hotel, that’s it. That’s all you need You have those things in your passport. You just put in really basic information online it took me about Maybe two minutes to do the application online, not even And that was it and I applied for my visa from Myanmar. It was probably like 10:30 in the morning when I applied and literally I got a confirmation of approval the same day by like before 2:00 p.m.. I was in shock. Honestly, it came so fast, I thought it was gonna be a rejection I was like oh, no it didn’t go through but no I got it, and it was only 50 bucks So it’s not the same price I think was about fifty dollars when I applied in person at the consulate as well so $50 super smooth and easy Myanmar is definitely an interesting country to visit. There’s a lot going on right now And there’s a lot of interesting things to see here, a lot of positive things happening here as well So if you’re interested in coming to Myanmar you can definitely check it out And if you like you can subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can see more of what the travel here is like and follow me on some of those journeys, so happy travelling!
